Toni has been working in higher education for more than twenty years. She is returning to LSU Health Shreveport following employment at the Louisiana Department of Education, Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University, and Cornell University.

Bharat Guthikonda, MD, FAANS, FACS, Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of Skull Base Research, has been named Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Shreveport.

Louisiana native receives scholarship from Ochsner Health System that will cover full tuition for her to attend LSU Health Shreveport - School of Medicine

Debbie Chandler, MD, has been appointed Associate Dean of Student and Diversity Affairs for the LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine.

Graduation for all three of LSU Health Shreveport’s professional schools will take place in a combined ceremony held at Centenary College’s Gold Dome. Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards will give the keynote commencement address.

116 School of Medicine students learned where they will be going for their residency training.

Dr. Bailey comes to Shreveport from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and specializes in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease.

The white coat ceremony marks the start of the students’ transition from the classroom to clinical training.
