Sue Johnson, RN, CNOR

SAVE Program Manager

Sue has 25 years experience as a Registered Nurse with an Operating Room Nurse certification (CNOR). She currently works as the Sexual Assault and Violence Education (SAVE) Program Manager at LSU Health Shreveport. She previously completed the Sexual Assault Nurse/Forensic Examiner (SANE/SAFE) training. She has also completed multiple trainings with Dept. of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women along with other national conferences on sexual assault, domestic/dating violence and stalking. Additionally, she has provided training for the Dept. of Homeland Security and ICE to prepare employees at the National Center for Disaster Fraud working at the Sexual Assault hotline call center for detainees. She works closely with not only campus law enforcement but also with community domestic violence support providers and local law enforcement to meet the needs of victims that have been affected by sexual assault, domestic/dating violence and stalking.

In addition to these responsibilities, she also serves as the Community Outreach coordinator and Infection Control nurse for the School of Allied Health Professions.
