Dr. Sandra Hayes is an Associate Professor of Clinical Communication Disorders. She earned her SLP.D. in speech language pathology from Nova Southeastern University, her MCD from LSUHSC-S’s Speech-Language Pathology Program, and her BA from Louisiana Tech University. Sandra’s teaching interests include pediatric language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, and fluency disorders. Her research interests are in the areas of Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT), controversial treatments, language, and higher education issues. She has numerous publications and presentations on a variety of topics. Sandra has been active at the state and national levels and is currently an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) Site visitor.
