Pamela Kimbrough is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Children’s Center at LSU Health School of Allied Health Professions. Mrs. Kimbrough holds both Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Education degrees from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette). Her teaching interests include early intervention, inclusion, social emotional foundations of early learning and strategies to support the overall development of young children. Her work has primarily focused on professional development as a mechanism for supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices in early childhood settings.
Mrs. Kimbrough’s research interests include interdisciplinary professional development, early childhood systems building, adverse childhood experiences and their impact on the resilience of young children, and the diagnosis and treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Currently, she serves on the Community Outreach and Development Committees for the SAHP.
In addition, she serves on the Regional Child Death Review panel for the Office of Public Health, Step Forward Early Childhood Network, Caddo Smart Start Leadership Team, Bossier Head Start Advisory Committee, and LA Healthy Communities Coalition.
