Dr. Diana Merendino is an Associate Professor in the Cardiopulmonary Science Program in the School of Allied Health Professions at LSU Health Shreveport. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2012) from the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Masters in Health Sciences (1993) and Bachelor of Science (1985) from LSU Medical Center Shreveport. Diana’s research interests include educational processes for success, and cardiopulmonary disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention. She has presented a numerous local and regional conferences as a respiratory therapist and physical therapist. She is currently the program director for the Cardiopulmonary Science Program and adjunct faculty for the Physical Therapy Program. Dr. Merendino is an acting member of the Respiratory Care Advisory Committee to the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, as appointed by the Louisiana Governor. She serves on the Tri State Respiratory Care Committee. Dr. Merendino is an exam item writer for the National Board of Respiratory Care. Dr. Merendino has served on faculty since 1991.
