Allergy & Immunology Fellowship
Thank you for your interest in our Allergy/Immunology Training Program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Our program provides a 2-year clinical and research training in both pediatric and adult allergic and immunologic disorders. The positions are fully funded by the institution (2019/20 salary is $57,469 for PGY IV and $59,899 for PGY V, with possible increase every July). Each year we accept two candidates who completed either a pediatric or an internal medicine residency at an ACGME-accredited program. Supportive qualifications can be certification by ABP or ABIM and research or clinical experience.
Application should be through ERAS: ERAS Fellowships Document Office (EFDO). Three letters of support should be mailed to ERAS fellowship document office from physicians or scientists who supervised your work in recent years, one of which should be by your residency training program director.
Included on the program’s website are the program goals, master schedule, faculty list, recent publications by fellows, current and recently graduated fellows, and a brief biography of the Program Director. Our program is fully accredited by the ACGME, and for many years our graduates’ passing rate of ABAI examination has been 100%. On the 2019 In-Training-Examination, our four fellows scored in the 88th percentile of all training program nationally.
Only completed applications will be reviewed. Promising applicants will be contacted for arranging an interview. If you need more information about the program, feel free to contact me by E-mail or phone.
