Dr. Teri Bigler is the PA Program Director. She joined the LSUHSC-Shreveport PA Program faculty in 2009. She earned her Doctorate of Health Education (DHEd) from AT Still University of Health Sciences, her MS in Community Health Administration and Wellness Prevention from California College for Health Sciences, her BS in Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB, Galveston and her BS in Biology from UTSA. Her research interest include admissions criteria as predictors of success in a health professions program, interprofessional education, and adult learning styles. As a PA, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including pulmonary and critical care (adult MICU), nephrology, internal medicine with a focus on geriatrics, and sleep medicine. She enjoys traveling and has participated in numerous medical mission trips.
