From downtown Alexandria: Travel north on Jackson St. across the Gillis Long Bridge onto Main St. in Pineville. After crossing the bridge turn left at the second traffic light onto the hospital grounds.

Entering Alexandria on Highway 165 from Woodworth: Proceed to the South Circle and exit the circle at the 3rd exit which is North 71 and 165 to Shreveport, Winnfield and Monroe. Continue through Alexandria to the I-49 Junction and take the 71A exit, which is the I-49 South to Opelousas exit. At the next exit, exit to the right on Exit 85A to Elliott St. and Downtown Alexandria. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto Jackson St. Follow Jackson St. across the Gillis Long Bridge onto Main St. in Pineville. After crossing the bridge turn left at the second traffic light onto the hospital grounds.

Entering Alexandria on Highway 71 from Cheneyville: Proceed to the I-49 junction and take exit 63, which is I-49 and North 167 to Alexandria. Follow this towards Alexandria for about 4 miles and take exit 84, which is North 167 (Pineville Expressway), stay to the left. Take the Shamrock St./Business District exit to the right after crossing the Red River. Turn left onto Shamrock St. Turn left onto Main St. Turn right at the first traffic signal onto the grounds of the hospital.

Entering Alexandria on I-49 North from Opelousas: Stay on I-49 to exit 84, which is North 167 (Pineville Expressway), stay to the left. Take the Shamrock St./Business District exit to the right after crossing the Red River. Turn left onto Shamrock St. Turn left onto Main St. Turn right at the first traffic signal onto the grounds of the hospital.

Entering Alexandria on Highway 1 from Marksville: Proceed into Downtown Alexandria. Turn right onto Jackson St. and cross over the Gillis Long Bridge onto Main St. in Pineville. After crossing the bridge turn left at the second traffic light onto the hospital grounds.

Entering Alexandria on Highway 28 West from Leesville: Proceed to the split (MacArthur Dr.), taking the left, which is the North 71 and 165 to Shreveport and Monroe exit. Proceed to the I-49 junction and take the 71A exit which is the I-49 South to Opelousas exit. At the next exit, exit to the right on Exit 85A to Elliott St. and Downtown Alexandria. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto Jackson St. Follow Jackson St. across the Gillis Long Bridge onto Main St. in Pineville. After crossing the bridge turn left at the second traffic light onto the hospital grounds.

Entering Alexandria on Highway 1 from Natchitoches: Proceed to the I-49 junction, which is North 71 and 165 exit to Monroe. This exits to the right. Almost immediately, turn right onto the 71A exit, which is the I-49 South to Opelousas exit. At the next exit, exit to the right on Exit 85A to Elliott St. and Downtown Alexandria. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto Jackson St. Follow Jackson St. across the Gillis Long Bridge onto Main St. in Pineville. After crossing the bridge turn left at the second traffic light onto the hospital grounds.

Entering Alexandria on I-49 from Natchitoches: Exit 85A to Elliott St. and Downtown Alexandria. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto Jackson St. Follow Jackson St. across the Gillis Long Bridge onto Main St. in Pineville. After crossing the bridge turn left at the second traffic light onto the hospital grounds.

If in the City of Pineville: Travel south on Main St. past Shamrock and turn right at the next signal onto the hospital grounds.

Entering Pineville on 167 from Winnfield: Proceed past LA College, take the Shamrock St./Business District exit to the right. Take the second right onto Jones St. Turn right onto Main St. Turn left at the first traffic light onto the grounds of the hospital.

Enter Pineville on Highway 71: Proceed to Highway 165 past Lake Beulow. Turn left at the next traffic signal onto Central Louisiana State Hospital grounds. Follow Rainbow Dr. through the grounds. Turn right onto Shamrock St. Turn right onto Main St. Turn right at the next traffic signal onto the grounds of the hospital.

Entering Pineville on Highway 165: Proceed past Lake Beulow. Turn left at the next traffic signal onto Central Louisiana State Hospital grounds. Follow Rainbow Dr. through the grounds. Turn right onto Shamrock St. Turn right onto Main St. Turn right at the next traffic signal onto the grounds of the hospital.

Entering Pineville on Highway 28 East from Jonesville: Proceed to the dead end stop and turn left onto Donahue Ferry Rd. At the three-way intersection continue straight ahead onto Main St. in Pineville. Turn right at the 3rd traffic signal onto the hospital grounds.
