Cellular Biology & Anatomy Chair
We are seeking applicants for Chair of the Department of Cellular Biology and Anatomy. The successful candidate should have a graduate degree (PhD and/or MD), an impressive record of academic achievement and leadership, and current NIH funding in an area that complements existing institutional research strengths in cardiovascular disease, oncology, neurosciences or virology. The candidate must have experience mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty as well as a commitment to the educational mission of the medical school.

Transplant Surgeon
Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery
An experienced transplantation surgeon is being sought by the Regional Transplantation Program co-sponsored by the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport (LSUHSCS) and Willis-Knighton Health System. Successful candidates would join a team that offers Kidney, Pancreas and Liver transplantation services for patients across Northern Louisiana, East Texas and Southwest Arkansas.
Our program is expanding and a new opening exists for a transplant surgeon at either the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. S/he would be a member of the Department of Surgery, Transplant Division faculty, as well as the medical staffs of Willis-Knighton Health System and LSUHSCS. Successful applicants will be board certified or eligible in general surgery and have completed an ASTS fellowship in transplantation. Academic rank will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
Assistant/Associate Professor, Anesthesiology
The Department of Anesthesiology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center - Shreveport is seeking applicants for full - time faculty Anesthesiologist positions specializing in: Cardiovascular (TEE Certification required), Pediatrics, Regional, Ob/Gyn Anesthesiology, or Pain Management. These positions require a one year approved fellowship. Candidates must be board certified, or in the preocess of being certified, and qualified to receive appointment at assistant professor level or higher. Responsibilities will focus on clinical care and teaching of medical students and residents. Salary and academic rank commensurate with experience and training.
The LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport is seeking candidates for the role of Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop a regionally acclaimed Orthopaedic Trauma program with significant clinical, educational, and research resources. Successful applicants will be board certified or eligible in orthopedic surgery and fellowship trained in orthopedic traumatology. Academic rank will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
