The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery provides the highest quality of care to inpatients and outpatients, education to surgery residents and medical students, and research in basic and clinical sciences. The faculty members have extensive experience in the management of various arterial and venous diseases. We offer our patients comprehensive treatment with minimally invasive endovascular techniques as well as traditional open surgery.

Our state-of-the-art hybrid vascular and endovascular suite allows us to place all FDA approved thoracic and abdominal aortic stentgrafts and perform peripheral arterial and venous balloon angioplasty and stenting.

A non-invasive vascular lab is also available for risk free testing and diagnosis.  Specialty areas include:vascular system

  • Carotid artery stenosis
  • Thoracic aortic aneurysm
  • Thoracic aortic dissection
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm
  • Abdominal aortic dissection
  • Mesenteric artery stenosis/occlusion
  • Renal artery stenosis
  • Peripheral artery stenosis/occlusion: lower and upper extremity ischemia
  • Traumatic injury to arteries and veins
  • Varicose veins

At LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport, efforts are underway to build a Vascular Disease Institute. The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery plays a prominent role in the development and creation of this institute.

Our mission is to provide excellence in patient care, education, and research.
