A Message from the Dean

We are well into the fall semester and students are already busy preparing for their first round of tests. The fall is always a busy time and we welcome the cooler weather that will hopefully be arriving soon.

The Student Life office and individual programs are in the “geaux” mode getting ready for the upcoming Annual Family Day scheduled for Saturday, September 24th. This event is quite popular and allows family and loved ones of our first year students to visit the campus, meet instructors and get a taste of what their loved ones have been doing since May of this year. The day includes a tour of the Anatomy lab, a visit to the Simulation Center, a meeting with the Dean and profession specific programming in each of our academic areas as well as other specialized experiences. The morning events round out with a group lunch in our clinic gym and the opportunity to purchase themed items you just won’t be able to live without. Registration material for the event has gone out from the Student Life Office. If you haven’t received notification, please contact us at 318-813-2898.
