Professional Career
Registered respiratory therapist since 1974. Still practicing as a volunteer provider in area free clinics. Certified asthma educator along with being a smoking cessation counselor.

Research Interests
Dr. Wissing’s research interest has included, in part, novel modes of mechanical ventilation, asthma studies, childhood obesity, and smoking habits among the homeless. He directs thesis work in the Master of Public Health Program and has been involved with numerous public healthy related research.

Dr. Wissing remains involved with numerous committees’ school and campus related along with being involved with a number of local non-profits such as Martin Luther King Health Center, St. Luke’s Medical Mobile Van and Home Central Day Care for Homeless.
