QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology or a related biological science field from an accredited university.

DESIRED:
Master’s Degree with experience in cellular or molecular biology
Experience working in biochemical analysis laboratory.
Knowledge of bioinformatics database searching.

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent will be placed in a highly responsible technical position working in the Redox Molecular Signaling Core of the NIH awarded COBRE grant.  The incumbent will assist, organize, and conduct experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures; analyze and summarize data; track progress of research projects; perform a variety of routine tasks related to the maintenance of the laboratory; adhere to safety and compliance guidelines; assist in new method development, optimization, and validation; and train students and student workers, as needed.  Other duties as may be assigned as necessary to complete research projects. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated possessing skills in biochemistry and bioinformatics.
