Master's degree is preferred, but not required. Applicant must be an ASCP certified Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Scientist and have a current Louisiana license as a CLS-Generalist.
We seek a clinical laboratory scientist with a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Primary responsibilities include teaching CLS courses in immunohematology and immunology at a NAACLS accredited university-based program. The candidate will also be required to teach or help with other courses/labs. The candidate must be a certified MLS(ASCP), or equivalent (e.g. MT(ASCP)), possess a current Louisiana license as a CLS-Generalist, and have experience in a clinical laboratory. A post-baccalaureate degree is preferred, but not required, as long as the candidate is currently enrolled in a graduate program. The candidate is expected to earn a graduate degree within two years of date of hire. Clinical experience in more than one clinical laboratory department is highly desired.
