Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must meet one of the following qualifications:
  1.  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with one (1) year of experience in a healthcare and/or       academic setting.
  2.  Associate degree from an accredited university with three (3) years of experience in a healthcare and/or     academic setting.
  3.    High School diploma with a minimum 15 years’ experience in a healthcare and/or academic setting.

Job Summary:
Provides organizational support in coordinating activities for the Department of Otolaryngology, Residents, Fellows, Faculty, and Staff. Functions of the Otolaryngology/head and Neck Surgery Department include clinical, surgical, research, and teaching responsibilities. The department maintains a medical residency program that prepares licensed physicians to qualify for and pass board certification exams in the specialized field of Otolaryngology/ Head & Neck Surgery. In addition, the department has two fellowship programs. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of the Residency and Fellowship Program under the direction of the Department Chairman to see that both programs meet standards established by accreditation agencies. The incumbent will work closely with the department Business Manager, ACC Department Coordinator, and the Head and Neck Cancer Coordinator to insure proper scheduling of private and non-private clinic patients, and overseeing that proper insurance information is obtained and crosses over to appropriate departments for billing purposes.
