Job Requirements:

The Department of Pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport is seeking a full-time BC/BE Geneticist to join a busy academic program and lead the genetics section. Cytogenetics, molecular and biochemical genetics laboratories are supervised by boarded faculty. Responsibilities include patient care and resident and medical student education. Protected time is available to pursue clinical and/or laboratory research interests. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Summary:

The Children’s Hospital at University Health is the only major academic medical center in the area and receives patients from a catchment area with a radius of approximately 75-100 miles which includes a population of approximately 1.5 million people. The Pediatric Department is a large academic multi-specialty department with active clinical and basic research programs.
