
Welcome to the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The department provides comprehensive management both medically and surgically of conditions of the head and neck. This includes the management of head and neck cancers, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, cleft lip/palate, sinus/nasal and allergy conditions, ear disease, hearing loss, balance disorders, swallowing disorders, voice disorders, sleep disorders, and pediatric ear, nose, and throat conditions.
The department also offers a fully accredited Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency training program with experiences obtained at the LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport and the Overton Brooks Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport. The program is administered by full-time faculty and is designed to develop a surgeon who is a specialist in the field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
