Edward J. Mayeaux, Jr., MD: Professor of Family Medicine/ Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology. MD – LSU School of Medicine, Shreveport, LA, 1987. Residency – LSU Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, 1987-1990. Dr. Mayeaux is particularly interested in HPV disease in women and cervical dysplasia. He is a long term member of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and has served on the board of directors twice. He was a voting member of at both ASCCP/NIH evidence based cervical cytology and dysplasia consensus conferences and teaches for them regularly, including at the advanced colposcopy courses. He has received their Award of Merit twice for contributions to the discipline. He is also a member of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics and the International Society for the Study of Vulvar diseases. He has written/edited 3 books, including 2 on procedural medicine. |
