Students volunteer at Night to Shine

Night to ShineStudents from LSU Health's School of Allied Health Professions volunteered at the Night to Shine event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation at Cypress Baptist Church on Feb. 10. This event was one of 375 across the nation offering a prom night celebration for individuals with special needs.

"I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to party the night away with my new friend Beau! Tim Tebow has established a wonderful foundation in making the world a better place for so many. This night was filled with genuine love and pure happiness brought about by all attendees,” said Casey Villanueva, DPTS, Class of 2018. “Smiles were plentiful and hugs were countless all through the night. I lost count on how many times Beau pulled me in for a warm hug and expressed how much fun he was having. That right there made my heart melt and has since humbled me to a great extent. Shout out to Tim Tebow and Cypress Baptist Church for allowing Beau and many others a night to shine!"

Kyle Guidry, DPTS, Class 2019, said “It was amazing! We are looking forward to volunteering next year.”
