In a gathering with North Louisiana Area Health Education Center and Shreveport Chamber members June 28, Acting Family Medicine Chair Dr. Michael Harper, Chancellor Robert Barish and Family Medicine Professor Dr. Arthur Fort, III, cut the ribbon to open LSU Health Shreveport's newest clinic,
University Family Medicine, located in southeast Shreveport. Dr. Harper said the new clinic is reflective of the nationwide trend of seeing people where they are and when it is convenient for them, and he hopes it's the first of many for LSU Health Shreveport.
