Student worker positions are available in various departments at the Health Sciences Center. Duties typically include filing, sorting, copying, entering data into a database, delivering documents, answer phones, special projects, and providing excellent customer service.
Candidates must be a full-time student and have the following personal skills:
Must be a hard-worker and follow instructions
Have great communications skills
Be a great team player
Work Hours:
Work schedule determined by current school schedule. Prefer students to work 15 - 20 hours per week.

STUDENT WORKER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Eligibility for employment as a Student Worker requires the individual to be enrolled in an accredited high school, junior college, college or university, or a vocational-technical school operated by the State of Louisiana in a full-time status. Full-time status is determined by the institution in which the student is enrolled and must be verified by the Office of the Registrar with an affixed seal. If an undergraduate student is in his last semester, any amount of credit hours are acceptable.
STUDENT WORKER APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply for a posted student worker position,
1. Complete a Student application (Sf-10d) and submit it to the LSUHSC Human Resource Management Department, Administration Building Room 106. PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE A STUDENT APPLICATION WITH PROPER VERIFICATION ON FILE IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT BEFORE APPLYING TO THE DEPARTMENT LISTED IN THE ANNOUNCEMENT.
2. As instructed in the announcement, either fax or email a resume to the person listed in the posted announcement. Include the request number.
Human Resource Management will notify the applicant of choice for each vacancy.
