CIVIL SERVICE MINIMUM SUPERVISORY TRAINING

On July 1, 2008, the State Civil Service commission established Minimum Supervisory Training requirements for state employees who occupy jobs that are designated as part of a Supervisory Group. The Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP) and Civil Service co-sponsor the program. Instructors are staff of Public Management Program, School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development, LSU Baton Rouge or Civil Service staff.

At LSU Health Shreveport, many of our employees participate in this training program. In HR Training & Development, employees' training requirements and deadlines are closely monitored from the time an employee is hired, promoted or detailed into one of the Civil Service training groups.

Employees have the responsibility of attending the training for which they are scheduled, and for contacting our office as soon as they are reasonably certain that scheduled training must be cancelled.

Courses are taught on the LSU Health Shreveport campus annually from September to May and are posted on this website.
