Our School of Medicine offers 39 fully accredited residency and fellowship programs. Residents say that the level of training they receive and the variety of conditions they treat, coupled with the area’s low cost of living, make LSU Health Shreveport a great choice.
Under the supervision of our faculty, residents and fellows see patients at partner hospitals like University Health in Shreveport & Monroe, Overton Brooks VA and Willis-Knighton.
Almost 600 residents and fellows train in the variety of primary care and specialty programs listed below. Over 5,000 residents and fellows have trained with us over the years.
The School of Allied Health Professions also offers two physical therapy residency programs in wound management and orthopaedics. For information about those programs, visit the SAHP website.
