Kathryn Richardson, MD is an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery and an Associate Director in the Regional Burn Center. 

Dr. Richardson accepted a faculty position with LSU Health Sciences Center and the Regional Burn Center after completing residency in 2002. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008 and has been involved in departmental, university, and professional activities such as:

• Trauma Committee, LSU Health Sciences Center
• Blood Utilization Review Committee, LSU Health Sciences Center
• Chairman - Surgery Department Residency Review Comm.
• Member of the American Burn Association
• Member of Alpha Omega Alpha
• Member of Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons

Dr. Richardson also serves as the Assistant Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program.
